Once again, PlayStation will soon be removing some games from the PlayStation Plus catalog. Unfortunately for many of its subscribers, this also means that one of the most popular titles that have been featured in the service will be removed.
We have been able to learn through the PlayStation Plus section itself that Grand Theft Auto 5 will soon leave the service, which in this case also means saying goodbye to Grand Theft Auto Online. The title developed by Rockstar will be available until mid-June, along with 12 other games that will also be leaving soon.
Grand Theft Auto 5 became available on PlayStation Plus Extra since last December. If we compare it to other titles, GTA 5 has had a relatively short stay in the service. However, at this point, it is more than likely that the majority of its players already own a copy of the game. And that’s because GTA 5 doesn’t know the meaning of “failure“.

The famous sandbox was released in September 2013 and since then, it has been achieving impressive sales figures year after year. In 2023, it was announced that GTA 5 managed to surpass 180 million copies sold.
This time, most of the games leaving PlayStation Plus belong to the PlayStation Plus Extra category, with only one leaving PlayStation Plus Premium. Here is the complete list of games leaving the service this month:
- Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons – PS4
- DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventure of Krypto and Ace – PS4
- Dodgeball Academia – PS4
- Grand Theft Auto V – PS5, PS4
- Indivisible – PS4
- Monster Jam Steel Titans – PS4
- MotoGP 23 – PS5, PS4
- SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated – PS4
- The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition – PS4
