The Total War series is heading to Egypt with its next edition called Total War: Pharaoh. Or, in other words, Total War: Pharaoh. Come on, let’s guess what era and part of the world we’re going to in this new installment.
Total War: Pharoah, which will be released in October this year, will allow players to experience three cultures during the period of the Egyptian New Kingdom in the late Bronze Age.

A dynamic and customized campaign in glorious Egypt
The campaign will include a number of customization options to ensure it is different every time, from randomized starting positions, to various resource configurations and even the ability to play with natural disasters.
Thus, the campaign will be accessible to all players. Battles will also be more dynamic, with weather changes such as thunderstorms and sandstorms, as well as the spread of fires that can burn settlements and armies alike.
Players will be able to choose from eight faction leaders from three cultures (Egyptian, Canaanite and Hittite), each with a unique play style. And they will have to lead by diplomatic or warlike means.
“There are few periods more iconic than Ancient Egypt; rife with political intrigue, cataclysmic events and great war campaigns, it is the perfect setting for a Total War title,” says Todor Nikolov, the game’s director.
“As Pharaoh, you must save Egypt from the cusp of destruction and guide your people through the calamitous collapse of the Bronze Age. It is up to you to survive or fade into history.”
Total War: Pharoah is now available for pre-order and will be released in digital format for PC, both on Steam and Epic Games Store. The price is 59.99 euros being a computer game, where game inflation has not been noticed.
