The new feature of the Valve platform, family groups, is now available for use and enjoyment. With its arrival, the family sharing and family mode that we knew before are eliminated.
Thanks to this feature, sharing games among family members (or friends) has become even more accessible, if possible. By creating a family group, everyone will be able to play the titles that all members have, as long as the games are compatible with it.
The new family loan will allow us to use other members’ games, even if they are playing something else. If you also have multiple copies of the same game, it can be played by several members simultaneously.
At the moment, family groups have a maximum of 5 members and can be managed from your PC, browser or even your own mobile device. Parental controls will also be very present. Adults will be able to monitor which titles minors play and the time invested in them, among other things.
Don’t forget one thing: if you want to try family groups, you must sign up for the beta. To do this, go to Steam and click on the buttons Steam > Settings > Interface > Participate in client beta. Click on the family groups beta and then click on Accept. Restart Steam and you can now try the feature.
