The price of PS5 Pro is absolutely crazy. We can all agree on that, right? There is no one who can see this three digit number and think it’s fair. Nobody thinks our generation is so full of great games that it needs a little more power to fully enjoy them. And besides, as many have pointed out, the problem is underlying, and it’s aimed at creating consumption habits: this model doesn’t have a disc drive.

Of course, there are always solutions: if you want to play physical games, you can buy a separate disc reader for 80 euros (and yes, the same one works for the PS5 Digital, something is something). People, who are already quite angry about having to spend a whopping 800 euros, do not want to have to pay for something that could (and honestly, should) be included in the console.
But we have no choice. Faced with the attempt to impose digital games (which, let’s remember, cannot be resold or lent to a friend), players have reacted by depleting the PS5 disc drives, just in case. After all, the fact that it is backward compatible is one of the most appreciated things about this new (not so new anymore) generation.
On September 26th, PS5 Pro will finally be available for pre-order, and a few are already trying to take advantage by reselling the disc readers at exorbitant prices. Don’t fall for it: they will release it again (they are not in a position to deny the public what they want, for once) and you will be able to enjoy those extra pixels and those frame rates that the human eye is not capable of noticing. And enjoy like a pro!
Oh, yes, and then it’s time to buy the stand to put the console upright. At an additional cost, of course. Let’s see if not.
