Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’s trailer reportedly leaked online around August 14, 2026, giving people an early, unauthorized look at Sony’s next animated Spider-Man movie months before any official public release.
The footage, which runs about four minutes, started circulating around August 14, 2026. It appears to line up with the work-in-progress material shown behind closed doors at CinemaCon in April, complete with unfinished lighting, effects, and animation that clearly isn’t polished for a final public trailer.
Even in that state, the leak lays out some major story beats. Miles Morales is on Earth-42, facing his alternate self, the Prowler, and there are also quick glimpses of Gwen Stacy, Peter B. Parker, Spider-Punk, and The Spot. That points to the sequel picking up right where Across the Spider-Verse left off, cliffhanger and all.
If you keep up with Sony’s Spider-Verse movies, this is a big leak. It’s also one more security headache for Sony, coming after trailer leaks tied to Spider-Man: Brand New Day and the Marvel-related cyberattack that hit Insomniac Games.
Where it came from is still murky. One circulating copy reportedly had industry insider “Apocalyptic Horseman’s” watermark on it, though he denied being the source, and Sony, Marvel, and producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller hadn’t said anything publicly.
There’s still no official trailer to watch yet. The movie is deep in production and was pushed back from March 2024 to June 18, 2027, with Phil Lord and Chris Miller saying they’re “deep, deep in it,” while Jake Johnson has said recording is underway and has spoken highly of the script.
