The highly anticipated sci-fi shooter game, La Quimera, will be available on April 25. This revelation comes less than two months after the title was first unveiled, in a surprising twist related to the rebranding of the former studio 4A Games, now known as Reburn, in Ukraine.
A game that looks great and we will be able to try it almost right away
Prior to its launch, Reburn has announced a closed beta test that will take place on April 12, starting at 4:00 PM, Spain mainland time, and lasting 24 hours. However, access to this beta will be limited, so those interested should go to the Steam page to register.
The Chimera offers the possibility to play solo or in cooperative mode with up to three players. The plot is set in the fictional megalopolis of New Caracas, where a group of PMCs finds itself caught in a large-scale conflict between rival factions and shadowy corporations. Throughout the game, mystical phenomena will begin to blur the line between reality and illusion.
One of the most notable features of the game is the exosuits that players will use, which grant superhuman strengths and access to advanced technology. However, it has been noted that the interaction of the suits is not as vocal as in other similar installments, which may disappoint some fans who were expecting a more interactive design in the style of the Crysis saga.
It is worth noting that, while Reburn embarks on this new adventure with La Quimera, 4A Malta continues to work on the Metro series, which creates some confusion about the future of both entities. With this release, Reburn puts its distinctive mark on the shooter genre, promising an intense and unique experience for players.
