The new season of Path of Exile 2, titled Dawn of the Hunt, has received negative reviews from the community, especially on the Steam platform. Despite offering a series of new features and improvements, players have expressed their dissatisfaction with the power balance between classes, particularly with summoners and the new Hunter class. Many fans believe that the changes have not achieved true balance, leading to a palpable disappointment among users.
A patch to fix the quite serious problems that the game is experiencing
In response to these criticisms, Grinding Gear Games has released an initial patch aimed at correcting some of the reported issues. One of the main points of concern has been the redesign of the Act 3 maps, which caused players to spend more time than expected in that section of the campaign. To address this, GGG has promised adjustments that will reduce the size of some areas and improve map readability, thus facilitating player navigation.
Summoners have been one of the classes most affected by these changes, experiencing a notable loss of power. GGG has acknowledged that the health and damage of summoned minions had been reduced too much, making them almost irrelevant in the campaign. The studio has confirmed that it will soon increase these attributes to restore a better balance between the classes. However, many criticisms persist, with players asking GGG to look at the competition, such as Last Epoch, which stands out for communicating more actively with its community.
The situation of the Huntress has also generated concern. According to GGG, the new parry mechanic, which is meant to enhance her abilities, has shown weaknesses. A new passive skill, Cull the Weak, is planned to be implemented to improve her performance in the early stages of the game. As the team works on resolving these issues, the community eagerly awaits results that will restore their confidence in the game.
