After two years of early access, Keen Games has announced that its successful survival title, Enshrouded, will launch its ‘Version 1.0’ in autumn 2026. This significant milestone not only marks the end of early access but also introduces the game on consoles, presumably on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, thus expanding its reach to a broader audience beyond PC and Steam users.
Five million players
To celebrate its second anniversary, the developers will also release an update that will include changes to combat, the introduction of new armor, and various bug fixes. This update is expected to be available before the arrival of the eighth major content update, which will allow players to easily explore the bases of other users, a highly requested feature in the community.
The Keen Games team has been clear about this: the launch of ‘Version 1.0’ is just the beginning of a new chapter in the development of Enshrouded. Through a press release, the developer assured that they will continue to implement improvements, additional content, and new experiences, reaffirming their commitment to the player community. To date, the game has attracted over five million players and has maintained high user numbers on Steam, reflecting its popularity in the open-world survival genre.
Despite the fact that the initial launch of Enshrouded was overshadowed by the release of Palworld, the game has managed to stand out thanks to a series of constant updates and improvements in its performance.
