A new fan-made mod for Fallout 4, titled Stalker’s Journey, created by the author known as SpookywasHere and available on NexusMods, has recently been released. This mod introduces a small unmarked quest located in the northwest area of the map, which may make it difficult for players to start the adventure. To assist those interested, the creator has provided hints, including the location of a note near the water tower in Concord, which serves as the starting point for this new experience.
If they told you a fan did it, would you believe it?
One of the standout features of Stalker’s Journey is the inclusion of a unique weapon that players will be able to discover throughout the mission, adding a rewarding element to exploration. It is worth mentioning that this is the author’s first creation that is not a patch, which implies that the developers are learning and evolving in their creative process. However, SpookywasHere has anticipated that some issues may arise and that these will be addressed in future updates, so players can expect ongoing development of the mod.
In addition to Stalker’s Journey, game fans can also explore another mod known as Under the Sea, which adds a BioShock-inspired environment to the Fallout 4 experience. This additional content not only complements the original game but also leverages horror elements that franchise followers have come to appreciate. Players can enjoy both expansions without them interfering with each other, although it is always advisable to check the creators’ instructions if there are any doubts.
With the release of Stalker’s Journey, Fallout 4 players can expect a new adventure full of mystery and unique rewards, as they immerse themselves in the unsettling landscape of the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Fallout 4 receives a next-gen patch which, far from fixing the issues the game had or improving anything, has caused countless problems.
After the success of the Fallout series, one of the things Bethesda has done is to immerse themselves in a new patch for Fallout 4. Their promise was to improve the graphics quality, make it compatible with current generation consoles, and add some juicy extras. Nothing exceptional, but a noticeable change that would delight fans. Now, with the patch already released, what most users expected has happened. The patch is an absolute disaster.
Starting with the patch itself, the change is absolutely minimal. The game could already be played on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, as they are backward compatible consoles, and the changes in graphic quality are minimal. If not non-existent. Now you can play in 4K, and now you can choose between playing in quality mode or performance mode, but that seems to be the only change. Or it would be if they hadn’t also added support for widescreen displays. Without modifying the UI, which looks completely stretched and practically illegible on these monitors.
The new content is limited to, literally, two armors, two weapons, and two new skins. Something that is not bad, but it is far from being a spectacular change of any degree. Especially when we consider that, even with some bug fixes, it has broken more than it has fixed.
Perhaps the most serious thing of all is that if you used any kind of mod in Fallout 4, you probably don’t want to see the state of your saved game. This patch has corrupted the saved games of some of the most important mods in the game. This means that thousands of players have lost, at least temporarily, their saved games and the ability to play the game. Something that every developer with an affected mod will have to solve in the near future if they want it to remain playable.
In addition, this patch has not been good news for PlayStation users. All those who play Fallout 4 on PS Plus have discovered, to their dismay, that the patch has not been applied to their version of the game. This has led to numerous complaints on social media, prompting Bethesda to backtrack and state that they will also apply the patch to all PS Plus users.
But that’s not all. In addition to not fixing a bug that causes the game to crash under certain circumstances with RTX cards, a bug that has existed since the launch of RTX cards, the Steam Deck has also not been spared from problems. Now it is impossible to modify the graphics options on Valve’s handheld, whether due to a bug or an intentional decision by Bethesda. Similarly, they have also not fixed the issue that, on the Steam Deck OLED, the game runs at half the frames it should due to its 90hz display.
In conclusion, the patch has been an absolute disaster. Fallout 4 is still a magnificent game, which we recommend as a good entry point to the Fallout saga, but the patch has done more harm than good. All of this can be fixed, but again, it will take some time for everything to work as it did before for those affected. Something that demonstrates that, sometimes, it’s better not to touch what is already working fine.

Fallout: London, an incredible mod for Fallout 4, is delayed due to the new game patch, which may disrupt compatibility with mods.
Fallout is gaining popularity like it hasn’t had in years. It is reaching a new audience, who are not only satisfied with watching its excellent series, but also immerse themselves in exploring what the game franchise has to offer. Great news. Because even though there is no new game on the horizon, there is plenty of content to enjoy.
In fact, there is something new on the horizon for Fallout. Fallout: London is a mod, the size of a full game, that invites us to live in the retro apocalyptic future of Fallout. This time, in the city of London. The problem is that something has come up that will prevent its imminent release.
Due to the release of the new Fallout 4 patch, which will make it compatible with next-gen consoles and Steam Deck, the creators of Fallout: London have decided to indefinitely delay their mod. This is because it is possible that this patch may make the mod incompatible with the base game, rendering it unplayable just two days after its release.
Although there are ways to make Fallout: London work despite what the patch does, the team behind it has decided not to rely on that. And without knowing the changes that the patch will make to Fallout 4, they don’t know how much it will cost to prepare the mod to work without any issues with it.
That’s why, although it was going to be released on April 23rd, now we will have to wait until an indefinite moment in the future. Although we are sure that Fallout: London and the incredible work of its development team will be worth the wait.
Fallout 4 is set to receive a new major patch, but this has disrupted the release of the largest mod for the game to date: Fallout: London.
Many franchises stay alive thanks to the passion of fans. Sometimes, that passion is rewarded with a new life. This is what is happening with the Fallout saga, but especially with its latest numbered installment, Fallout 4.
The reasons for this are evident. On one hand, the Fallout series on Amazon Prime has just premiered. Being a critical and public success, with both audiences excited about it, it is normal for there to be a revitalization of interest in the franchise. Bethesda, the company behind it, has also taken advantage of the momentum. With all the games on sale on different platforms, with new content for their active games and with Amazon’s Prime Gaming giving away three of the games (Fallout 76, Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas), it is logical that there is a resurgence.
Even so, the biggest resurgence of all is from Fallout 4. Probably because it’s the latest single-player installment, but also because Bethesda took the opportunity to make a big announcement. The long-awaited Fallout 4 patch for the new generation is just around the corner. And it won’t just make the game compatible with the capabilities of the current console generation, but it will also include new content for the game.
Unfortunately, not everything is good news. As the community has pointed out, this update has the potential to break game compatibility with mods. Something that has already happened in the past with other major updates, and is expected to happen again now.
This is particularly tragic because what has kept Fallout 4 alive until now is the passion of the community. Something that includes all the changes they have made to the game in the form of mods, to change all kinds of elements of the game. From cosmetic issues to fixing problems that Bethesda hadn’t touched until now. Including introducing new content. Something that will be done by one of the most anticipated mods by the community, and one of the mods most affected by all this: Fallout London.
Fallout: London is a total conversion of Fallout 4 that allows us to play a new campaign in which we will experience the Fallout universe in a completely different setting, in a post-apocalyptic London. Team Folon, the team behind this game, announced last December that this mod would be released on April 23rd. Something that their leader, Dean Carter, has had to cancel, announcing an indefinite delay for the campaign.
The reason is that the next generation update for Fallout 4 will be released two days later, on April 25th. This potentially makes Fallout London unplayable two days after its release. That’s why, considering they will need an additional month of work to make it compatible, they have preferred to delay its release until everything is ready and they can guarantee its full compatibility with the game.
This is not the only issue with Fallout: London. With a size of around 30-40GB, the most popular modding platform, Nexus Mods, cannot host it. Something that the Folon team has found the best possible solution for.
After reaching an agreement with GOG, the video game store from the creators of The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077, they will be able to distribute Fallout: London through their store. This will allow installing the mod in Fallout 4 both on GOG and Steam, and if they manage to reach an agreement with them, even on Epic Games. This would facilitate its distribution.
While many fans were eagerly awaiting Fallout: London, we will still have to wait a little longer to enjoy this modification. Everything will depend on Bethesda and what happens on the next 25th. Whether they have finally taken into account all the people who have kept their game alive all these years, or simply decided to ignore them.
According to its developers, Fallout London could come out very soon—so soon that we wouldn’t have to wait for more than a few months.
Very few franchises have such a loyal fanbase as Fallout. It doesn’t matter how many years pass between releases or how disastrous they may be at launch, they are always there. That’s why it’s so gratifying to produce them. There will always be an audience eager to immerse themselves in them. And when they are fixed through enough patches or mods, an enthusiastic audience will follow them.
The problem is that the series is not at its best moment in terms of releases. Fallout 4, the latest numbered title in the franchise, was released in 2015, and Fallout 5 has no release date yet. They first have to release The Elder Scrolls VI to start developing it, so it’s difficult to see it before 2030. And with the television series almost here, it seems like this was a good time to release a new installment of the franchise.
That’s what the fans have thought. That’s why they have made a mod for Fallout 4 called Fallout London. About the size of a DLC, it will continue the story of the base game and allow you to explore a post-apocalyptic version of the capital of England. Although we still have to wait a little for that.
While the developers of Fallout London have explained that all the content is already complete, but their testing system is not as robust as they would like. This is because part of their scripting team lives in a region affected by an ongoing conflict, which has led them to delay the release of this mod. Although they wanted to launch it to coincide with the series premiere, it will have to be a little later.
Fallout, the series, will premiere on April 12th. And Fallout London will follow shortly after. Because its release is scheduled for April 23rd. A date that we recommend marking on the calendar because, from what we have seen of the series, it seems like it will make us want to return to the wasteland universe of Fallout.
