Hulu is in the process of developing a reboot that introduces a new generation of heroes and villains in Sunnydale, although the story itself does not yet have an official synopsis. It has been reported that the pilot will feature a new vampire slayer, while Buffy Summers, played by Sarah Michelle Gellar, will return as a mentor to this young heroine.
A reboot with a new approach
Gellar, the star of the original series, will reprise her role as an adult Buffy, an approach that promises to explore her evolution over the years. Alongside her, Ryan Kiera Armstrong will become “the chosen one,” a role that has generated expectations after being praised by Gellar on social media, who expressed that from the first casting she knew Armstrong would be the ideal choice.
