Jorjani highlighted in a recent impromptu Q&A session on Discord that both he and his team are big fans of the Games Workshop franchise, and that conversations to carry out this much-desired crossover have been frequent.
However, the execution of this project faces temporary obstacles. According to Jorjani, the studio is currently immersed in the development of a new War Bond and the narrative related to the Meridia black hole, which complicates the possibility of implementing a crossover at this time. “We are busy, but the desire to do this is present,” he stated, hinting that the interest in collaboration remains alive.
Warhammer 40K in Helldivers: something players long for
The demand for this crossover is not just a matter of desire; there is tangible evidence in the form of numerous mods created by the community, such as “HellMarines,” which reflect the fusion of both worlds. On Nexus Mods, players have explored exciting additions that allow Warhammer armors to integrate into the Helldivers universe, showcasing the existing enthusiasm for an official collaboration. Furthermore, there is already a Helldivers Chapter in Space Marine 2, making it even stranger that there is no formal crossover between both universes to date.
