The tenth season of the Fortnite Festival will kick off on August 26 with a new headliner: Gorillaz. This will be a significant event as it is the first time, since Metallica last summer, that the headliner is a band instead of a solo artist. The virtual group made up of 2D, Noodle, Russel, and Murdoc promises to make this season a unique experience for players and music fans.
Let’s monkey around!
One of the most notable new features is the new music pass, which will offer both paid and free elements. This pass, which costs 1400 V-Bucks and is available for Fortnite Crew service users, will allow players to unlock cosmetics as they progress. Upon purchase, the Russel skin will be immediately unlocked, while the Murdoc skin will be found at the end of the pass. Additionally, players will be able to obtain other items, such as back blings and jams tracks, including popular songs from Gorillaz.
The store will also feature themed items from Gorillaz, such as skins of 2D and Noodle, each accompanied by a back bling and characteristic instruments. Among the items available in the store will be a camo wrap, a contrail, and several songs, including Clint Eastwood and Dare. The items will be offered in a bundle or individually, allowing players to acquire what they desire the most.
In addition to the aesthetic updates, Epic Games has made significant changes to the Festival mode, addressing user complaints and remodeling the main stage to enhance the player experience. Furthermore, the company has hinted at a future Festival celebration that will include original rewards and exciting music, which could mean that there will be no main artist at that event. This expectation creates an aura of intrigue about what Epic has planned for the future of the game.
