Hey! Do you remember the Jonas Brothers? Yes, the stars of Camp Rock and its eponymous series that had a huge fan phenomenon in the 2000s. Well, now Nick, Kevin, and Joe, who reunited in 2019 after six years of hiatus, want to win back their fans in a world much more complicated than the one they left when they were kids. And to their own Christmas special and the announcement of Camp Rock 3 now adds, as it could not be otherwise… a podcast.

The project in question, which will be launched on the iHeartMedia platform, will be called Hey Jonas!, and will start on May 20 with the intention of allowing fans to get to know them better and learn about their lives both on and off the stage. To this end, there will be an answering machine, in the style of a Hot Line, where they will receive questions that the brothers will be able to answer on the show.
If you’ve ever wondered whether Nick Jonas pees in the shower, or the tattoos they want to get, or if they prefer to send flowers or food, this is your space: a tremendously white program that resembles too much the teen magazines of the 90s. We’ll have to see if they go beyond that and can tell something really interesting or if they will limit themselves to making the typical cheesy podcast to make a little more money.
And what is the reason for doing the program? Kevin is very clear about it: “It seemed to me that everyone had a podcast, and that we had been left out”. Or, to put it another way, “to fill the gap between the sound check and the show with a podcast”. Would you reject a check with several zeros for doing a little program every now and then?
