A Reddit user has dedicated 292 hours to leveling up their warrior in World of Warcraft Classic, emulating the anime hero One-Punch Man. This player, known as Historical-Warning88, or Onepunchwarr in the game, has been undertaking this challenge for about seven months, with the unique premise of not using armor or weapons, relying solely on their fists to defeat enemies. They are currently at level 55 and claim that the leveling process has become difficult as the experience requirements increase.
In his posts and videos on YouTube, he has shared his journey, mentioning that his biggest obstacle is the anxiety generated by unexpected disconnections and the possibility of dying in combat. “I’m in solo questing mode, without grouping, and this experience is something crazy,” he states in one of his updates. With each level he advances, the amount of experience required becomes more intimidating; for example, to go from level 50 to 55, he had to accumulate over 170,000 experience points.
In a humorous tone, Onepunchwarr highlighted his fears, including a recent power outage that almost cost him his character at level 51. Despite the pressure and burden of the game, he expresses satisfaction with his skills and progress made so far, trusting that with an additional effort of 90 hours, he will reach level 60. “I hope it will be fun, and get ready to see me suffer,” he shared with laughter the last time he updated his situation.
The gaming community continues to support their efforts, recognizing the commitment that such a monumental challenge entails, while wondering what the outcome of this unique odyssey in the world of Azeroth will be.
