With each Apple event, we welcome new gadgets, but we also say goodbye to others. The launch of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro has led Cupertino to discontinue the last remaining “mini” model, the iPhone 13 Mini.
Since Steve Jobs introduced the first iPhone in 2007, the company has always been known for selling capable phones in a relatively compact form. While the company started leaning towards larger models from the iPhone 6 onwards, the launch of the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 13 Mini marked a return to these roots, prioritizing comfort and grip over large screens.
However, it has all been a dream for Apple. The public has made it clear that compact phones don’t have enough space in the market. Sales figures have not supported these devices, and both have been among the least demanded in their respective lineups.

Not only the Mini disappears: Apple withdraws the iPhone 12
With the release of the iPhone 14, the iPhone 12 Mini was discontinued in favor of the iPhone 13 Mini. The discontinuation of the latter makes the iPhone SE the only Apple phone that doesn’t reach 6 inches of screen size and therefore, the smallest one available, for now.
On the other hand, the iPhone 12 is also bidding farewell for good. With the introduction of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, the currently available iPhones from Apple are:
- iPhone SE
- iPhone 13
- iPhone 14
- iPhone 15
- iPhone 15 Plus
- iPhone 15 Pro
- iPhone 15 Pro Max
