With the last episode of the fifth season of The Boys, which has also been the series finale, many people were expecting to see a teaser for its new spinoff, Vought Rising. But that hasn’t happened. On Prime Video, there has been no trace of the spinoff that is supposed to continue the story of this particular universe of superheroes, except that it is now set in the 1950s. However, it has been shown coinciding with the season finale of The Boys, but not on streaming, rather in theaters.
An unrewarded ending
Those who have been able to see the eighth episode of the fifth season of The Boys in theaters have been able to exclusively view a teaser for Vought Rising. With some clips already appearing on social media like Twitter, it seems that this teaser shows Stormfront, Soldier Boy, Bombsight, Torpedo, and Private Angel, as well as, for the first time in this spinoff, official images of Liberty. Better known to fans as Clara Vought and by her superhero identity of Stormfront.
Without details on when this spinoff will premiere or whether it will be shown online, it seems that for now it will be an exclusive glimpse for the most devoted fans who saw the finale in theaters. Although this could well change in the coming days or hours.
Vought Rising is a spinoff of The Boys that takes place in the 1950s and tells how Frederick Vought created the first group of Supes along with his wife, Clara. Eric Kripke, the showrunner of the series, has described this spinoff as “a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought“, so a change in form is to be expected, but not in tone regarding the content. But with a generic release date of 2027, it seems we will still have to wait to learn more.
