Lin Lie has become the new Iron Fist, but this time he won’t do it alone. Alongside him are his predecessor, Danny Rand, who is now known as Ghost Fist, and his protégé Pei. Together they will face a new threat in the event titled Deadly Hands of K’un-Lun, which features iconic characters such as White Tiger, White Fox, Elektra, Karnak, and Aero.
An unexpected synergy
The story, set in the mystical city of K’un-Lun, sees Lin Lie and his demonic enemy Lin Feng in a climactic conflict. Writer Yifan Liang, known for his work on the video game Marvel Rivals, is tasked with developing a narrative that delves into Lin Lie’s identity and his relationships with other characters. Liang argues that the event is mini in its approach, but ambitious in its scope, as it brings together a diverse group in the face of the crisis generated by Lin Feng’s invasion.
The five-issue series, with the first issue scheduled to go on sale on February 18, features Paco Medina as the main artist. Medina is a respected Marvel illustrator, known for his ability to capture action and facial expressions. Liang has expressed his excitement about working with Medina and has emphasized the importance of his art for storytelling.
As the story progresses, the characters will have to face the invasion of the War Fists in Manhattan, leading Iron Fist to make desperate decisions that could have serious repercussions. Meanwhile, Pei uncovers a disturbing secret about how the War Fists are gaining their power, which could mean the end of Iron Fist’s legacy.
Liang invites both long-time fans and new readers to join this adventure, promising a narrative depth that will leave no one indifferent.
