Blizzard Entertainment returns with a bang after a disappointing eighth season of Diablo IV, launching the new Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim starting July 1. This update promises to load the game with new features and remedy past mistakes, while immersing players back into the chaos of Sanctuary.
A difficult job, but with some interesting principles
The adventurers will move to Cerrigar, where a new plot will unfold involving the druid Bryona and the horadric wizard Donan, who faced Astaroth, a demon brimming with evil. The main objective will be to purify some dangerous relics before they fall into the wrong hands.
One of the most exciting features of this season is the horadric spell system, which allows players to customize their combat style through unique combinations of abilities. To create these powerful spells, catalysts, infusions, and arcanes will be required, adding a deep layer of strategy to the game.
The new micromazes, known as the burrowed armored chambers, form another attraction. Players will find intense challenges in these dungeons, where they will have only 100 seconds to defeat enemies, activate statues, and collect rewards. Additionally, a chain of three increasingly difficult dungeons, known as the Escalating Nightmares, will be introduced, each accumulating the effects of the previous one.
The battle will culminate in an epic confrontation against Astaroth, which will unfold in two phases, allowing players to adjust its difficulty. Season 9 will also bring new challenges, enemies, and areas to explore, providing players with a refreshed experience in the vast world of Diablo IV.
Players will be able to access new rewards, including mounts and pets, through the reliquaries, the seasonal journal, and Tejal’s shop, ensuring that there is plenty of content to explore and enjoy.
