A mod to bypass payment restrictions
Despite these limitations, a recent mod known as Unlimited Character and Palico Edits has quickly gained popularity, accumulating over 13,000 downloads in a short time. This mod allows users to modify the appearance of their characters without the need to use Edit Vouchers, simply activating the customization option at no cost, although it does not eliminate the need for them for appearance changes.
Capcom has taken a stricter stance on the use of mods, classifying them as cheats, although in the past it has not prohibited players from using them. However, since 2023, its policy has changed, defining all mods as cheats unless they are officially endorsed. This change has raised concerns among users about potential penalties, as the company may be more interested in pursuing those who attempt to evade aesthetic purchases.
However, using this mod carries the risk of experiencing technical issues, such as game crashes. Players interested in making modifications should be aware that operating with mods can be problematic and do so at their own risk. The modding community continues to insist that players should proceed with caution, especially while initial bugs in the mod that can cause game instability are being resolved.
