Creative Assembly has revealed new details about its upcoming DLC for Total War: Warhammer 3, titled Tides of Torment. This pack will include Dechala, a six-armed serpent woman, as the legendary lord of the Slaanesh faction, as well as the inclusion of a Nordic faction led by the treacherous sorcerer Sayl the Faithless, known for his inclination towards betrayal and manipulation. Sayl will be able to summon a chaos creature called Nightmaw, which incorporates the bodies of three wizards he betrayed in the past.

The Nordic faction will also receive a new generic hero, a noble fimir, and a new monster, the chimera, along with other units that have yet to be revealed. In addition, a restructuring of the existing mechanics of the Nordic faction is underway, including the Monstrous Arcanum and the chaos confederation system, which promises to further enhance the gameplay of this faction.
Another update that the DLC will bring is that the other legendary lords will receive voice updates, including Throgg Wintertooth, the King of the Trolls, who will be given a new tone that reflects his often underestimated intelligence.
The 6.2 version, which will accompany this DLC, promises an expansion and rebalancing of the accessories, with the incorporation of player feedback through the Proving Grounds beta. This feedback has allowed the development team to adjust mechanics and game elements to enhance the user experience.
