A recent interview with Tate Donovan sheds light on the behind-the-scenes struggles during the filming of “Friends,” particularly an emotional arc involving his character, Joshua, and Jennifer Aniston’s Rachel.
Donovan revealed that he and Aniston had been in a relationship for two years before he was cast in the show, and they had broken up just prior to his appearance. At the time, neither of them informed the cast or crew of their split.
