Polestar has officially opened sales for its highly anticipated 2026 Polestar 4 crossover SUV, available to American customers starting today.
The Polestar 4, the fourth model from the Swedish performance automaker owned by Geely, offers a premium performance experience within the D-SUV segment, showcasing innovative design and spacious interiors.
Pricing for the Polestar 4 starts at $56,400, and buyers can choose from five distinct variants. The standout among these is the Long Range Dual Motor variant, which boasts impressive performance, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds.
Anticipation Builds for Polestar 4 Deliveries as Sales Debut Today
This rapid acceleration positions it as Polestar’s fastest production model to date, setting a high bar for competitors in its class.
Initially announced with plans for eight variants and production in North America, Polestar has scaled back its offerings due to several challenges, including the appointment of a new CEO and concerns over potential tariffs.
As a result, production for North American customers will now take place in Busan, South Korea, with assembly set to commence this summer. This is a shift from earlier expectations where the model was to be built alongside the Polestar 3 in the U.S.
Polestar’s North America head, Rick Bryant, expressed excitement about the launch, stating that the 4 confidently enters the premium performance market and provides two dynamic SUV options when paired with the Polestar 3. With production on track for this summer, customers can expect initial deliveries of the Polestar 4 by fall 2024.
As anticipation grows for its arrival, many are eager to see if the Polestar 4 will live up to its promise and if the waits of American consumers will ultimately be worth it.
