With the release of the new iPhone 16 and its new Camera Control button, Apple has made a significant leap in terms of battery life. These phones greatly improve battery life compared to the previous generation. Each of the new devices offers at least one more hour of video playback autonomy, with even more significant increases in certain models.
Between one and four hours of battery life
The iPhone 16, for example, offers up to 22 hours of video playback, compared to the 20 hours of the iPhone 15. If we look at the iPhone 16 Plus, we find up to 27 hours of video playback compared to the previous 26. Making the jump to the Pro version, the iPhone 16 Pro now enjoys 27 hours of video playback, while the last model only reached 23. As for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the change is similar, going from 29 to 33 hours of video playback.
Percentage changes compared to the iPhone 15 are as follows:
- iPhone 16: 10% increase.
- iPhone 16 Plus: 3.85% increase.
- iPhone 16 Pro: 17.39% increase.
- iPhone 16 Pro Max: 13.79% increase.
Apple has been clear in indicating that these battery times are expressed as “up to” because they depend on each user’s use of the device. Even so, the figures presented show a considerable advance in the new models’ autonomy.
In addition, the new phones are compatible with the 25W MagSafe fast charging. This allows them to reach 50% charge in just 30 minutes, a substantial improvement compared to previous iPhones. We are facing one of the most important advances in iPhone autonomy.
