Bloober Team has confirmed that they are working on two new IPs, one of which is set to be announced in 2024, perhaps before the release of Silent Hill 2 Remake.
Bloober Team is an uneven studio. With excellent games like Layers of Fear or Observer, they also have terrible failures like The Medium or Blair Witch. That’s why we don’t know what to expect from their next game, the remake of Silent Hill 2. Although what we do know to expect is what they will do next. They have announced that they are working on two new games.
In a letter to shareholders, Bloober Team has confirmed that they are working on two new games. The first one is Project C, a new IP, which they are working on with Take-Two Interactive and will be announced later this year. The other one is Project R, a game that will be released in 2025, and is based on an IP from Skybound Entertainment, the company created by Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead.
Although we don’t have more information, Skybound Entertainment has a handful of IPs that would fit well with Bloober Team, a studio specialized in horror. However, among all of them, the one that would probably fit them the most is Outcast, a comic by Robert Kirkman and Paul Azaceta, about a man involved in demonic possessions since his childhood.
Meanwhile, in the same letter, Bloober Team has assured to be confident in the Silent Hill 2 remake. So, we just have to wait and see how all this turns out.
