The Gigamax mechanic is coming to Pokémon Go this month in the most spectacular way possible
Pokémon GO is one of those games that has managed to stay strong thanks to a great initial success. During the pandemic, it was a major global phenomenon, and although it is true that it has never returned to those numbers, it remains a very beloved and played game by the community. Pokémon GO is one of those games that has managed to stay relevant thanks to its initial great success. During the pandemic, it was a major global phenomenon, and although it is true that it has never managed to return to those numbers, it always remains a beloved and played game by the community. This is aided by the continuous release of new content, such as the imminent arrival of a new mechanic to the game.
Niantic has announced that Gigantamax Pokémon will arrive in Pokémon GO at the end of the month. This mechanic, which originally debuted in Pokémon Sword and Shield in 2019, will allow us to transform our Pokémon into giant versions of themselves with abilities different from the normal ones. However, there are certain limitations. Among these, we will have to capture the specific Pokémon with this ability in limited events.
For now, only three Pokémon will have Gigantamax evolution. On the other hand, they are the most appropriate three, because they are the three starters that started it all: Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur. It is expected that others will be added to the list later on.
Pokémon GO is available for Android through Google Play and for iOS via the App Store. The Gigamax mechanic will be available on October 26th, coinciding with the final stretch of the game’s Halloween event.
After the visit from Professor Willow, choose your Pokémon trainer and go out to hunt some creatures. You must be careful because it won't be an easy task; first, you have to catch one of the three available Pokémon: Squirtle, Bulbasaur, or Charmander. Once you've done that, your adventure begins. Guide yourself through the map to capture your little monsters and make use of all the alternatives and possibilities of Pokémon GO.
