Unleashing the Mexican John Wick: A New Challenger Emerges, Equally Indomitable
A Mexican killing hundreds of villains per movie dressed in an elegant suit and endless weapons? Danny Trejo figures it out.
Many wonder what would happen if we ran current movies and books through artificial intelligence and asked it to reimagine the stories. We have done this several times, with terrifying results. But today’s case is a really cool one: John Wick.
Danny Trejo has played many tough guys on screen, but could he play a Mexican version of Keanu Reeves’ John Wick character?
Well, AI has imagined it, and Trejo has shared the results with the simple argument that he could become John Wick and kill more people than his career has allowed him to so far. Which is no small feat, but insufficient for the tough guy he is.
An AI montage that deserves a movie
In the never-ending wave of AI art and trailers that are popping up on the internet, there are some that work and some that don’t. But if it’s good enough for Danny Trejo to share, who’s to argue.
Sharing three different AI images that put him in the skin of John Wick, the actor was happy to suggest that he would be more than happy to see himself become the Mexican version of Reeves’ assassin.
Good old Dany Trejo accompanied the images with: “They’ve messed with the wrong Mexican #JuanWick”. Truth be told. I would pay to see that movie in the theater.
If there was a place for him in the franchise, he would fit perfectly in the world of John Wick, or so critics and fans think, who are constantly asking on social networks for a collaboration or cameo of Trejo in the saga of Keanu Reeves.
