The first season of The Last of Us came to an end a few weeks ago and fans couldn’t be happier with the conclusion of this first batch of episodes. The HBO Max series has come to be considered the best video game adaptation ever made, and the performances of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey couldn’t have been more on point.
But after the end of the first season, many have wondered what will happen with the sequel, which will adapt the second video game. The showrunners have clarified that there is so much to tell that it will be divided into several more seasons, and they have already set to work to shoot as soon as possible.
Season 2 filming location revealed
Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann are finalizing the details of filming season 2 of The Last of Us, and have already chosen the location where they will shoot much of the next episodes. As Deadline reveals, the crew has moved to Vancouver, Canada, a city located on the northwest coast of the Pacific Ocean that plays a major role in the second video game.
While the first season was largely shot in Calgary (Alberta, Canada), a well-located location that allowed them to move to other shooting locations such as Wyoming, Texas or Missouri, this time they have chosen to go further south.
It’s unclear when filming will begin, but the actress who plays Ellie has given some hint: “I think we’ll probably shoot between the end of this year and early next year. So the premiere will probably be late 2024 or early 2025″.
