The film surprises us with a unique crossover, featuring Ben Wang as Li Fong, a new and promising ‘karate kid’. This film promises to be an exciting continuation of the franchise, appealing to both fans of the original saga and new generations.

Karate Kid with more legends than ever

In Karate Kid: Legends, the script by Rob Lieber and Anthony Tambakis, under the direction of Jonathan Entwistle, focuses on a straightforward narrative, avoiding unnecessary complications and excessive references to the popular series Cobra Kai. The story follows Li Fong, who, after moving from Beijing to New York with his mother, faces various challenges, from school difficulties to making new friends.

As part of his journey, Li Fong trains in kung-fu with his uncle and master, Mr. Han, played by Jackie Chan. However, the situation escalates when he becomes a victim of assaults by his neighbor Mia’s ex-boyfriend. To regain his dignity, he decides to join a karate tournament, where he will have to rely not only on Mr. Han’s experience but also on that of the legendary Daniel Larusso, played by Ralph Macchio.

With a mix of action, comedy, and character development, Karate Kid: Legends aims to provide an entertaining and dynamic experience that resonates with the spirit of the original classic.
