Robert De Niro’s The Whisper Man moved up to No. 1 on Netflix’s worldwide movie chart in its second reported week. Netflix’s Top 10 data puts it at 33.4 million views and 63.5 million hours watched.
That leaves The Whisper Man well ahead of the movie in the No. 2 spot, which pulled in 5.2 million views and 8.6 million hours. It also represents a roughly 70% jump from the film’s 23.2 million-view debut weekend.
Netflix’s Top 10 numbers also show the film reaching viewers in 59 countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico.
If De Niro in crime-thriller mode is your thing, this one has an easy hook. The 2026 film follows a retired detective drawn back into a serial-killer case, adapts Alex North’s bestselling novel, co-stars Adam Scott, Michelle Monaghan, and Michael Keaton, and comes from AGBO.
The reviews, though, have been mixed at best and often worse than that. On Rotten Tomatoes, it’s sitting at 48% with critics and 41% with audiences. Even so, De Niro’s star power and the film’s grim setup are clearly bringing people in.
