Ted Lasso Season 4 is now streaming on Apple TV+, and it makes its biggest shift so far by sending Ted from Kansas to coach AFC Richmond’s women’s team, the Lady Greyhounds.
In the latest episode, that move settles in as the show’s new center. Ted brings the “Believe” sign into the Lady Greyhounds’ locker room, and the players push back, saying belief isn’t the problem when they’re still up against lower pay, less support, less room for error, and tighter scrutiny than the men’s teams.
Episode 3 presses that idea harder. Keeley puts it plainly with the line that women “don’t get friendlies; we either succeed, or we fail,” coach Alice Chilton gets more authority through the revised “Believe (and Win)” message, and the season ties itself to real momentum in women’s football by using CPKC Stadium and referencing rising Women’s Super League revenue and National Women’s Soccer League franchise values, without pretending that growth means the work is finished.
If you’ve been following Ted Lasso, this episode is one to watch because it shows Ted Lasso’s optimism isn’t being rejected, but on its own, it isn’t enough anymore. You can stream Season 4 on Apple TV+.
