On January 17th, Call of Duty will release a major mid-season update on all platforms. The Season 1 Reloaded will include a large amount of new content in both Call of Duty: Warzone and the multiplayer and Zombies modes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
First of all, in multiplayer there will be a new 6v6 map called Río. This medium-sized battlefield features a shopping center surrounded by a main street, a tram station, a market, a square, a café, and residential areas. Also, new multiplayer modes called Team Deathmatch, Infected, and Headquarters will be added.
The ranked multiplayer mode will allow players to compete in 4v4 matches with the same settings, maps, and modes as the Call of Duty League. There will also be a crossover with The Boys series, which will include a limited-time mode called Confirmed Kill with power-ups, as well as an event challenge called Supe Siege, which allows players to unlock a special LMG weapon blueprint.
In Warzone, the public event Gulag Night Vision will allow players to fight in the dark, while in battle royale a new Weapon Box objective will be introduced.
“At the beginning of each match, a weapon box appears in a small search area. Once found, the player who has it in their hands will be marked for all the enemies in the match“, explains Activision. “If a player who has the briefcase manages to stay alive until the end of the match or their squad leaves the match using a helicopter called purchasing a Covert Exfiltration, he and his teammates will win exclusive rewards”.
The Covert Exfiltration is a new victory condition that will allow players to call in a helicopter at a high price to have the opportunity to leave the game early. In addition, Champion’s Quest will also make its debut in Urzikstan, challenging squads to win 30 matches in a season or five consecutive matches to “trigger a devastating endgame”.
Finally, players in the Zombies mode of Modern Warfare III will be able to obtain valuable loot by defeating the new warlord Dokkaebi, born in South Korea.
