The Sun brothers focuses on Charles Sun (character played by Justin Chien), a legendary serial killer nicknamed Chair Leg. After a hitman attempts to kill his father, who is the head of a major Taiwanese mafia, Sun travels to Los Angeles to protect his mother, Eileen (Michelle Yeoh), and his younger brother, Bruce (Sam Song Li), from the constant pursuit of this mafia.
The series has enough ingredients to be attractive to all types of audiences. Beyond being an epic action story, it has a family drama by exploring the relationship between Bruce, who left home years ago, and his mother, who separated from him and his brother when they were young. In addition, it has doses of humor in the style of Everything Everywhere All at Once that makes the series a perfect heir to this film.
The creators of the series are Bryon Wu and Brad Falchuk (911, American Horror Stories), and it is a promising story that can already be classified as one of Netflix’s most striking releases in 2024.
