Creative Assembly, the studio behind Total War and Alien: Isolation, is reportedly developing a new game based on the Star Wars universe. These new rumors suggest that it will be called Total War: Star Wars.
According to the information provided by DualShockers, Creative Assembly is currently working on three new video games, all belonging to their famous Total War series. In this case, one of them would be the mentioned Total War: Star Wars. On the other hand, there is also speculation that another of the titles will be a new installment of Total War: Warhammer. At the moment, we do not have official confirmation that these games exist, so we should not take these rumors literally.

The most veteran fans will know that this would not be the first RTS set in Star Wars. In 2001, LucasArts released Galactic Battlegrounds, which also used the graphic engine of Age of Empires II. Here, we could participate in some of the most iconic battles of the movies, among other things.
On the other hand, the latest game we have seen from Creative Assembly is Total War: Pharaoh, which was released in October 2023. Set in Ancient Egypt, it follows the classic path of the saga with its combination of strategic management and intense real-time battles. Undoubtedly, these mechanics would fit incredibly well with the franchise conceived by George Lucas.
This supposed Star Wars-inspired Total War is not the only game related to the saga that is coming. Developed by Massive Entertainment, Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30th of this same year. Here, players will be able to explore the underworld of the galaxy.
