Animated films and series have raised the bar in a way we hadn’t seen in decades, and this translates into outstanding box office numbers and a constant generation of animated classics that few expected. However, the truth is that not everything comes from giants like Pixar or Sony, and there is even room for independent proposals.
One of them is undoubtedly Flow, a Latvian film directed by Gints Zilbalodis that competed at the Cannes Film Festival and has a 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Quite impressive. Its trailer makes it very clear that this film is worth watching:
The protagonist is a cat = guaranteed success
In Flow, we will see the story of a cat who wakes up in a world covered in water, where the entire human race seems to have disappeared. Throughout the movie, the cat seeks refuge on a ship with a group of animals. But getting along with them proves to be an even greater challenge than overcoming his fear of water. Everyone will have to learn to overcome their differences and adapt to this new world they find themselves in. Flow will premiere on October 30th in France, although we have no information about its international distribution.
