Trailer for Monkey Man: the action movie that promises to become the John Wick of 2024

A few years ago, the action film genre seemed to have run out of ideas. However, thanks to John Wick and similar proposals, the genre was given a boost and the great films that reminded us why it was one of the most beloved film genres during the 80s and 90s returned.

Now, a movie has just arrived with the intention of taking over from John Wick. Or, at the very least, succeeding as much as the movie of Keanu Reeves. Starring and directed by Dev Patel under the production of horror director Jordan Peele, we have just received the trailer for Monkey Man. And, without a doubt, it promises to be one of the action movies of 2024.

Dev Patel, a new action hero

Monkey Man will be released on April 5th, which tells the story of Kid (played by Dev Patel), an unknown young man who works in an underground fighting club. There, every night, wearing a gorilla mask, Kid gets beaten up by more famous fighters in exchange for money. However, everything changes when he discovers how to infiltrate the area where the evil elite of his city lives. Reliving his childhood trauma, Kid, with hands marked by scars, begins an explosive revenge against those who took everything from him.
