We have evidence: The fourth season of Ted Lasso will start filming soon

After rumors and assumptions, the confirmation many of us were waiting for has arrived: production of the fourth season of Ted Lasso is about to begin. Although Apple has not yet made any official announcement about the continuation of the series, the evidence confirming its existence is becoming increasingly clear.

A confirmed return, although not officially

There have been two key moments in the rumors and hints about the renewal. First, we learned that some of the key actors of the series had renewed their contracts for a new season. Then, the first news of the renewal emerged in the form of rumors last week.

Now, the start date for production has been set for January 6, 2025, as published by Sigmund Judge, host of the podcast Magic Rays of Light, and publicly confirmed on the website of the Film & Television Industry Alliance.

Ted Lasso’s journey towards a fourth season has not been straightforward. The series was originally conceived to have a three-season arc, but its enormous popularity led fans to request more episodes even before the third season had ended.

Despite the enthusiasm of the creative team, everything depended on the decision of the co-creator and star, Jason Sudeikis. While Tim Cook was clear about it, it is only now that Sudeikis has given his approval that preparations for a new season have begun.

It is not yet known when Apple TV+ will make the official announcement, but if everything goes as planned, it will be next year when the Richmond team returns to our screen. A possible date could be in the fall, alongside the launch of the new iPhones, although we will have to wait a little longer for a confirmation of the schedule.
