Ahsoka was one of the most anticipated series on Disney Plus, and its first season confirmed that fans were right to praise the figure of this character known from The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. Its ending left the plot quite open, but with the merging of series with others like The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, it wasn’t entirely clear if there would be a second season.
Now, it has been confirmed that Ahsoka will have season 2 on Disney Plus. We still don’t know when, but that will mean that all the storylines left open in the first season will continue. But what does that exactly mean? Do we know what will happen in these new episodes?
Is a series crossover coming?
What is clear is that, yes or yes, the second season will cover the rise to power of Grand Admiral Thrawn now that he has returned from the dead. The former Admiral of the Empire had disappeared in combat at the end of Rebels, and now that he has returned in Ahsoka, he is willing to do everything to annoy the New Republic.
This means, among other things, that the second season of Ahsoka will bring much more action. We will see the imperial and Republic forces rise up against each other, and it may lead to a much bigger ending, as Dave Filoni warned at the time.
But Thrawn’s return also means that we will see many more characters than in the first season. While it is clear that Ahsoka and Sabine Wren are the clear protagonists, as the war unfolds, many other warriors will appear. And among them, one of the most beloved by all may emerge: The Mandalorian.
Beyond that, we will continue to see the protagonists of the series in action, as well as Ezra Bridger, whom we had to wait a long time to see in action. But if the war reaches the Star Wars universe, we will be ready to watch it.
