Windows 11 continues to advance in its roadmap of updates for Microsoft Copilot, and the Canary versions, where you can experiment with the new features that Microsoft wants to implement, now have several of the innovations that the company wants to implement in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
Microsoft Copilot is almost celebrating its anniversary, as it was introduced to the public in March 2023, and taking a look at the package of new features that are already being tested, there is no doubt that the company wants to take a big leap in terms of improvements and advancements.
New Features for Copilot
The Canary versions of Copilot present one of the most tangible advances within the application, and as Neowin shows, it is constantly evolving and developing. If in recent months Microsoft was concerned with integrating Copilot into its applications and services, in these tests the current interest can be seen in deeply integrating it into the Windows 11 base system.
With the functions being tested in Canary versions, Copilot is getting ready with:
- System functions. You will be able to ask Copilot for your IP, battery information, system information, available internet connection networks, empty the recycle bin, activate power saving mode, clean your device’s storage, and many other commands.
- Accessibility improvements. Copilot will be compatible with activating narrator mode, enabling voice access, changing text size, activating high contrast, performing text dictation, and more commands to improve system accessibility.
- Power Ultimate. This plugin will provide Copilot with new intelligent assistance functions, allowing you to request commands such as renaming documents, sending emails to coworkers, creating a list of the tallest mountains in an Excel, and much more.
Copilot, the present and future of Microsoft
Being Artificial Intelligence one of the most thriving phenomena within the current technological landscape, Microsoft Copilot was introduced in 2023 as the generative AI version of Microsoft with which there would be all kinds of compatibilities within its ecosystem, whether with basic device services, with specific applications also developed by Microsoft, or as it also works on iOS and Android smartphones.
