The latest beta version of ChatGPT for Android brings a new feature that promises to make accessing this popular digital assistant even easier: the ability to use it without logging in. This update allows users to start interacting with the chatbot instantly, without having to register beforehand in the app, which marks an important step towards the accessibility of the OpenAI tool.
The news was announced by AssembleDebug, a collaborator of Android Authority who discovered that version 1.2024.136 (beta) of ChatGPT on Android allows users to start chatting without needing an account. This change is in line with OpenAI’s previous announcement in April, which mentioned that users could use ChatGPT instantly without registering, although initially this only referred to the web version of the assistant.

ChatGPT has radically changed the way people search for information and use traditional search engines. Until now, to take advantage of its capabilities, it was necessary to register with an email account, Google, or Apple on iOS. However, this new feature in the beta version for Android removes that initial barrier, allowing immediate access to the chatbot.
