Horror movie fans have a saying that is certainly not wrong: everything is better with zombies. Pride and Prejudice? Better with zombies. Call Of Duty? Add zombies. And, of course, GTA Online? Where do we even begin? The online game’s Halloween event, which took players back to North Yankton and introduced Ludendorff, the place where GTA V began, proposed an almost impossible challenge to achieve. In just three days, the community has already completed more than half of it.
The zombies are coming
Rockstar set a goal for users to kill 800 million zombies, ten times more than originally proposed (80 million). In just three days, over 430 million have already been killed by a group of players always eager for new challenges. In fact, not even in Rockstar’s wildest dreams did they imagine that 400,000 people would join at the start of the event and that, very shortly after, the number would rise to 1,300,000.
Not only that, players are also crushing other objectives such as surviving three waves of zombies in the cemetery to earn a cat mask and $100,000 in-game. Is there any doubt, at this point, that GTA VI is going to sweep away everything in its path?
