Until today, there are very, very few fans of Rebel Moon, the highly anticipated “Star Wars of Netflix” directed by Zack Snyder. Now, after releasing the first two parts of the movie, he has finally released what no one had asked for: his director’s cut—and it has turned out to be the biggest failure of his career. Yes, even surpassing all his craziness in the DCEU.
Just released, Snyder’s director’s cut was expected to be a big hit on the streaming platform. However, the new versions of both installments were not among the most watched titles on Netflix last week, not even in the Top 10.

Your movies don’t even make it to the Top 10
In total, neither of the two movies managed to reach 3.6 million views between July 29th and August 4th, right after their release. While their premiere was on the 2nd, they had less time than other titles, but it was still expected that this great science fiction universe would captivate Netflix viewers. Nothing could be further from the truth.
In recent months, Rebel Moon Part 1: The Girl of Fire has already shown a decline in interest. And although Rebel Moon Part 2: The Warrior That Leaves Marks debuted at number 1 on Netflix, it soon lost its position, so the new releases haven’t even entered the overall Top 10, which constitutes a complete failure.
Everything seems to indicate that, after this setback, there will be no more movies or series set in the universe of Rebel Moon, at least on Netflix. However, Zack Snyder always surprises with studios that bet on him despite the criticism, so you never know what might happen.
