When James Gunn started putting together his DC universe, there were rumors that Gal Gadot would keep playing Wonder Woman. Of course, after her career stopped dead following the failure of Snow White and her controversies over the genocide in Palestine, she needs it. However, it’s now official that Warner has pushed her aside, and she’s had no choice but to act grateful, just in case something else falls into her lap later on. After all, with superheroes there’s always scraps to go around.
The lasso of power strikes again!
Although no other DC movie has been announced yet after Man of Tomorrow, The Brave and the Bold (that is, the new Batman one) and Wonder Woman are expected to be just around the corner. And Gadot had some advice for whoever takes up the mantle of the warrior of Themyscira: “This is an incredible character that many people love, so I hope whoever ends up playing her enjoys this incredible journey with this incredible character”.
Of course, Gadot also took the opportunity to bow before the DC bigwigs: “I’m grateful they gave me the opportunity to wear her boots and celebrate this character and everything she represents”. For some reason, she no longer says that Gunn and Peter Safran want to make a third movie with her, because Diana Prince doesn’t tell lies.
Will we ever get a Wonder Woman movie? Will they revive the Paradise Lost series? Will we see Diana Prince again, whatever face she has? Those are unanswered questions and that, I’m afraid, aren’t even one hundred percent up to Gunn: we’ll have to see whether the DC Universe has a future. After that, we can focus on making it.
