The creator pannenkoek2021 is the “culprit” behind this feat. Through a video published on his YouTube channel, Alex Palix, his real name, explained how he had been able to pass through that door without using any kind of hack.

To begin with, the door was blocked by some kind of invisible wall that made it impossible to access it from the outside. Faced with such a situation, Palix came up with a clever trick that would help him open the door: using penguins.

What he did was the following: first, he handed the penguin chick to its mother. However, he immediately picked it up again, causing the mother penguin to start following him. In this way, he managed to guide her towards the door and then use her as a jumping platform. The goal was to jump over her to overcome the invisible wall. Thanks to this ingenious maneuver, Palix managed to solve one of the longest-standing mysteries of Super Mario 64. It is a milestone that, surely, many will try to emulate from now on.
