Apple TV+, Apple’s streaming service, has received a record-breaking 72 Emmy nominations, solidifying its position as a powerhouse in television entertainment. In less than five years since its launch, Apple TV+ has demonstrated that it can compete head-to-head with industry veterans.
A huge recognition for a service that hasn’t even reached its fifth anniversary
This year, “The Morning Show” leads the pack with 16 nominations, including its first nomination in the Best Drama Series category. A success that not only celebrates the quality of the content that Apple offers, but also the talent of its stellar cast, with actors like Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, who not only shine on screen, but are also executive producers of the series.
Another series that has caused a sensation is “Lessons in Chemistry”, which not only received its first nomination in the Limited Series or Anthology category, but received a total of 10 nominations, highlighting Brie Larson among its nominated talents.
In the comedy genre, “Palm Royale” is carving its path with 11 nominations, including Best Comedy Series and Best Actress in a Comedy Series for Kristen Wiig. Documentary productions also received strong recognition, with “STEVE! (martin) a 2-part documentary” and “Girls State” achieving multiple nominations, including Best Documentary or Nonfiction Special.
In addition to all these, “The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy” was Apple’s first documentary series to be recognized in the category of Nonfiction Series or Special Presented.
