Construction Simulator 3 is now free on Android: claim it on Epic Games Store

Construction Simulator 3 is free on Android through the Epic Games Store until June 25, 2026. It usually sells for $4.99, and if you claim it before that cutoff, it’s yours to keep. This isn’t a timed demo or a short trial.

The game itself takes a slower, more deliberate approach than a lot of sims in the same lane. It centers on construction work and includes more than 50 licensed vehicles from Caterpillar, Liebherr, and CASE.

There’s plenty to do once you’re in. Construction Simulator 3 comes with more than 70 contracts spread across a European-style open world, where players take on jobs like building roads, houses, and other infrastructure while expanding their company.

That giveaway isn’t random. Epic Games is using the same premium freebie playbook that helped its PC store grow, now aimed at Android. The goal is pretty clear: bring more people into the Epic Games Store on mobile, get them signed in with Epic accounts, and put more pressure on Google Play and Apple’s App Store.

If you like vehicle sims, this is an easy one to grab. And if you’ve been curious about the genre but didn’t want to pay just to see whether it clicks, even better.

It should help astragon Entertainment, too.

Parent company everplay said astragon Entertainment generated €52.5 million in revenue in 2024, and promotions like this can put a game in front of a lot of first-time players. Some of them won’t stop at the free download and will end up moving on to sequels or other related titles later.

If you want it, make sure you claim Construction Simulator 3 through the Epic Games Store on Android, not through Google Play, and sign in with your Epic account before June 25, 2026.

Google Calendar gets custom event colors: more than 200 shades

Google Calendar picked up a genuinely handy update on June 17, 2026. It now supports more than 200 event colors, with 24 default options plus custom shades on the web, Google says.

Previously, the palette stopped at 11 colors. Now there are 24 built in, and on the web version of Google Calendar you can go further with an RGB picker, which means you can make just about any shade you want for work, personal plans, family schedules, or separate projects.

There is one catch: you can only create those custom colors on the web. The Google Calendar mobile app still tops out at the 24 default choices.

Still, colors you create on desktop will sync to your phone, according to Google. If Calendar is something you use every day, this is the kind of update you’ll notice. Better color-coding makes a packed schedule faster to scan, helps separate events that look too similar at a glance, gives companies a closer match to their branding, improves contrast for some colorblind users, and cuts down on the usual workarounds, like making extra calendars or relying on browser extensions.

Google announced the change at the same time as Google Voice‘s new Gemini-powered “Take notes for me” feature for enterprise users. The rollout started on June 17, 2026 for Rapid Release domains, Google says.

Google says Workspace customers will get it over the next few weeks.
