This information has been communicated by reliable sources, debunking the rumors that arose from a TikTok video that showed supposed boxes of Zotac RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti that included the label of 16 GB.

Unfortunately for gamers, it was confirmed that these images were a manipulation of boxes from the previous generation, as specialized media pointed out. And if you remember, the 4060 Ti had 16 GB of VRAM.

According to confirmed rumors, the RTX 5060 Ti model is expected to have 16 GB and 8 GB versions, while the standard RTX 5060 model will only have 8 GB.

This strategy seems to align with the configurations of previous models, such as the RTX 4060, raising debate about whether having only 8 GB will be sufficient to meet the needs of gamers seeking experiences beyond 1080p.

Despite this limitation, the RTX 5060 will use GDDR7, which represents a significant improvement in memory speed, that could compensate for the lower VRAM capacity in certain applications.

Nvidia’s decision to offer only 8 GB in the RTX 5060 could spark controversy among users, especially in the context of those games that demand greater graphical resources (a very unhealthy trend in the industry in recent years).

However, Nvidia has developed technologies that could help mitigate some of these issues (DLSS to the rescue). By the way, the new RTX 5060 graphics cards are expected to have a simpler update regarding their power connector, which is a relief for everyone.

It is rumored that the release of these GPUs could happen in March 2025, although until then, PC gamers will have to wait for more official information about the capabilities and final features of the new RTX 5000 line.
