Bayek is back, and as of August 20, 2026, he’s showing up in Watcher of Realms. The game’s Echoes Across Realms crossover brings the Assassin’s Creed Origins lead in as a playable hero, alongside other Assassin’s Creed characters: Ezio Auditore, Kassandra, Eivor, and Evie Frye.
For now, though, this isn’t tied to any new Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC. Bayek’s only confirmed return is in Watcher of Realms, the mobile and PC tower defense RPG, where players can unlock him as a long-range specialist who has an advantage against aerial enemies. He also comes with an Order of the Duat skin, plus three story stages modeled after Egypt, Asgard, and Athens: Ancient Sea of Sand, Sanctuary of the Gods, and Cradle of Wisdom.
Ubisoft still hasn’t announced a new Assassin’s Creed Origins expansion or a Bayek sequel. That’s despite years of fans asking for one, Bayek actor Abubakar Salim saying he’d like to return, and the rumors still circling Ubisoft’s next mainline game, Project Hexe.
So if you’ve been waiting to see Bayek get another chapter, this Watcher of Realms update is probably the thing to jump on. The Creed of the Assassin web event is live until October 18, and it lets players claim Ezio for free just by logging in.
