Season 4 Reloaded is now live in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone, adding Nicolas Cage as a playable Operator and starting the “Summer of Action” event on June 25, 2026. In multiplayer and Warzone, Cage appears as Nicolas Cage himself, not as one of his movie or TV characters, and you’ll need the premium Uncaged Event Pass to use him.
Activision isn’t positioning this as a throwaway cameo. It’s selling Nicolas Cage as a full Operator and one of the headline pieces of the mid-season refresh.
The timing lines up. Nicolas Cage is coming off Spider-Noir, which reportedly pulled 2.6 billion U.S. viewing minutes in its first six weeks, including 851 million in its premiere week alone. Spider-Noir also holds a 92% critics score and a 90% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, and it has 11 Emmy nominations.
If you’ve kept up with Call of Duty’s celebrity crossovers, this fits the pattern. Call of Duty has already brought in Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Snoop Dogg, and Nicki Minaj, and Nicolas Cage is getting the same kind of early buzz from players and streamers. The usual debate is still there, though: spectacle versus immersion, with no hard numbers yet on what does for player counts or revenue.
