Dyson is a well-known brand among the public thanks to its vacuum cleaners and hair straighteners, among other products. However, the company is also known for venturing into other areas, such as its famous noise-canceling headphones and integrated air purifier. Now, Dyson has launched a new model of headphones, the Dyson OnTrac.
Dyson has not given up in the audio world, and the Dyson OnTrac headphones prove it. They are custom 40mm neodymium headphones with 16 ohms, with a frequency range of 6 Hz to 21 kHz, a wider range than most headphones on the market. In practice, this means that we will be able to appreciate deeper bass and crisp highs.
However, its most remarkable feature is the active noise cancellation (ANC) technology. Through its eight microphones, the Dyson OnTrac captures external noises at a speed of 384,000 times per second. As a result, it is capable of reducing noise by 40 dB.
Comfort is another important aspect. The pads use an open-cell PU foam and in addition, we can choose from seven different color tones. Additional sets of pads and interchangeable plugs can be purchased, which you can combine as you prefer. Its two batteries, each with 2,540 mAh, will provide us with 55 hours of playback, including active noise cancellation.
Like other brands, Dyson OnTrac headphones have their own mobile application, MyDyson. Through it, we can choose from several equalization modes and adjust them to our preferences. As if that weren’t enough, the headphones will also “know” if they are placed over your ears or not, thanks to the Head Detect technology. This way, they will automatically pause the sound if you are not wearing them.
If you are interested in Dyson OnTrac, we warn you that they are not exactly cheap: on August 1st, you will be able to buy them for the modest price of 499 euros.
