The spectacular trailer of The Witcher 4 shown during the Game Awards 2024 impressed a large part of the players and also featured Ciri as the new protagonist. In addition to having a new appearance, Geralt’s adopted daughter has also changed another aspect: her voice.
The biggest fans of The Witcher 3 may have noticed that, in the trailer, there is no trace of Jo Wyatt, the actress who lent her voice to Ciri in the game. CD Projekt has stated to the media outlet TheGamer that, this time, it is Ciara Berkeley who plays the character: “Ciara is a talented actress who has impressed us with her enthusiasm and vocal skills, and in this trailer, we believe she has brought Ciri to life in a way that is true to the character and exciting for the fans.”
The trailer did not come with a release date and everything indicates that, for now, we will not see anything in 2025. However, CD Projekt’s own CEO, Michał Nowakowski, has already stated that after Cyberpunk 2077, marketing campaigns would not last more than two years. If we take that into account, the release of The Witcher 4 should not be very far off.
